change main menu font size

Is it possible to change the font size of the main menu (the menu that appears from the launcher in the toolbar)? I want to help users who can't see well. I am running lxpanel 0.5.6

I have lxappearance installed, but I don't understand how to use it to change the menu font size.

From the GUI of lxappearance (ie. Customize look and feel) go to the Widget tab, select desired font and size, then click apply. That will change the font size in the program menu bar and the launcher. I'm running lxappearance 0.5.0.
