Hello,
First, Thank You for such a great Window Manager! I have it installed on Ubuntu, on both a Acer Laptop as well as a "old" Pentium 3 @ 450 Mhz with 128 MB of SDRAM and a 8 MB AGP card. http://linux.myeffect.net
The question I have is this. Does LXDE disable Gnome applications by default? On both systems that I have, if I go into the "Desktop Sessions settings" I find some Gnome applications disabled, one to note, was "Network Manager" which disabled my Wireless connection on my laptop. By "re-enabling" this application in "Desktop Sessions settings", I was able to get back my Wireless connection. I notice the same applications disabled on my Pentium 3 workstation as well. I hope posting this will help someone else out.
Thank You for your time.

Re: Questions about disabled Gnome programs in LXDE
It's not LXDE's problem. It's Gnome that disable their apps in other desktop environments.
Their desktop entry files contain informations that tell other DE 'this program should only be used in gnome'.
So, send bug reprots to them.

Thank You for your reply. I'll talk to the Gnome dev team about this. I'm very happy to be a member here.PCMan wrote:It's not LXDE's problem. It's Gnome that disable their apps in other desktop environments.
