Hello,
I has been using LXDE already for some month and very like this lightweight and fast desktop environment. The only thing I dislike is the window manager Openbox, so I use Fluxbox instead and this runs without problems (with the right configuration, of course). I am using this combination on two notebooks. On my primary one there are no problems at the moment, but I've got the following issue on the secondary "small" one:
I use LXDE with Fluxbox as WM and NoDM as display manager. Everything runs without any problems, even LXPanel. But all programs that shall run on startup (Clipit, Wicd,..) do not appear in the tray (of course I have the tray add-on enabled). I have tried to start them in .config/autostart/, with lxsession-edit, even through the Fluxbox startup-file.
Now, the weird thing is that this only happens when I log in the first time after boot. If I log out and log in again, everything works how it should... I have no idea how to solve this problem...so all my .desktop and other configuration files seems to be correct...
My system details:
OS: Debian 7 (wheezy)
DE: LXDE
WM: Fluxbox
DM: NoDM
Hope you can help me...
Thanks
Weird problem with lxpanel/tray icons
Re: Weird problem with lxpanel/tray icons
Did you try putting them in the lxde-autostart: /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart?
