Hi. Welcome to the LXDE Forum.

Yes. Any desktop manager, SDDM, LightDM, etc. will login to an LXDE session. There will be a pull-down list on the login screen where LXDE can be selected and that selection stays persistent between sessions or logins, until you change it.

Thank you for the clarification! I appreciate the confirmation that I can indeed use SDDM to boot into LXDE. It's good to know that I have the flexibility to choose LXDE from the pull-down list on the login screen, and that the selection remains persistent until I decide to change it. This information will definitely help me set up my system the way I want it. Thanks again for your helpful response!

An LXDE session can be logged into with any desktop manager. This includes SDDM, LightDM, etc.

Yes, it is possible to use SDDM (Simple Desktop Display Manager) as the login manager to boot into LXDE (Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment). SDDM is a display manager that is commonly used with the KDE Plasma desktop environment, but it can also be used with other desktop environments, including LXDE. Donkey Kong
