Hi,
After making the transition from Gnome to Lxde, I'm having a hard time with a bug that I'm hoping someone can fix.
In an effort to restore the Gnome desktop layout, I built a panel onto the top of my screen and populated it with shortcuts to my most-used programs. Without a hitch, everything functioned as intended.
But when I logged into my Gentoo Linux system, I saw that the panel is still there, but it's empty. None of the launchers are there! Although the launchers are visible in the "Preferences" menu that appears when I right-click the panel, they do not really show up on the panel itself. Rebooting X is your sole option for retrieving them.
My inability to access my launchers without repeatedly rebooting X after starting is hindering my ability to use Lxde. I need some advice on how to fix this problem and what's causing it.
Much obliged,
William

William, add the launchers to the lxpanel and you should fixed up although I fail to see how the lack of access to your launchers is hindering your ability to use lxde. Lxde is merely a desktop environment. If you are having problems recommend you seek assistance from your OS forums which I believe you said was Gentoo.
