Make task bar plugin transparent?

If I set lxpanel to transparent it works fine, except for the task bar. Any program I have running shows up as with a plain white/grey background.

Is it possible to make those transparent as well?

this is not possible at the moment with simple configuration.
You could try to edit the task bar plugin to fit your needs!
