[debian eeepc] make power button bring dialog of options

hi,
using debian on eeepc wiith LXDE. on my lxde panel, on the lower right, there's a power icon that, when pressed, brings up a few options (shutdown, reboot, hibernate, suspend, etc.).
Is there a way to bring up this same list of options when I press the REAL hardware button on my eeepc's "neck"/pivot area? Currently, pressing the hardware button directly causes shutdown, without any dialog.
