Wallpaper disappears every time I log in.

Hello. I'm running LXDE on Linux Mint. My old install was doing this too, and after a fresh reinstall it's doing it again: after I installed all my preferred apps, every time I log out and log back in, or when I reboot, my desktop wallpaper is absent and I have to manually set the wallpaper back by right-clicking on my desktop, going to Desktop Settings, choosing the Desktop tab, clicking the box for Wallpaper, and specifying the location of my wallpaper (it's in my /home partition, so I know it can't be a mounting problem. My panel image is in the same folder and it loads just fine.) And it all resets again to no wallpaper every time I log back in. This is rather annoying, and if anyone knows how to make my wallpaper stay, your help would be most appreciated. Thank you so much!
