location of config.-file for the 'Application Launch Bar"

Hi,

my first entry, here. :) This is one of the postings where the subject says it all -> haven't found anything about where LXDE saves this part of the configuration, in the Wiki + Google.

Why I need it: Tried to add a KDE app shortcut which led to a strange while-boarded black icon not listed in the UI for adjustments (right mouse click on bar -> settings). So I want to take out the entry by hand, just can't figure out where to look for the config.

Thanks in advance =)
Judith

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean, but it might help to have a look at "/usr/share/applications/".

It's in the panel configuration, ~/.config/lxpanel/LXDE/panels/<the position>, search for "type = launchbar"
You should be able to delete the extra entry by right clicking the launchbar.

If you meant the menu, the .desktop file is most likely in /usr/share/applications

You can right-click on the panel and choose the first entry. A Dialog will appear and there you can select the application and delete it.

@Marty Jack
thanks, that worked perfectly :)

(I'm not sure about the other way - is there some part of the configuration saved outside the home directory?)
