Expose' feature (like in KDE) and CPU frequncy

Currently I am a KDE user and I really enjoy Kompose' which is the linux version of OSX's expose'. Does LXDE have anything similar to offer? Another issue I have been having in all DE's and distro's is an easy way to control the power profiles, and specifically the cpu frequency of my intel dual core processor in my inspiron 1525. What is LXDE's solution for power management? Most distro's and DE's only turn my brightness down and clock my 1.87 ghz cpu to 1.6ghz. That gives me about 2.6 ish hours of battery life, yet in windows 7 I was getting 4.5 hours. Does LXDE have a solution to this? Thanks.

Well you can turn down brightness and decrease cpu clock. But thats distro related and not Desktop. Beside this LXDE is very energy efficient by design.

If you were to run Compiz, the Expo plugin does what you want for the Expose knockoff.

http://www.linux.it/~malattia/wiki/index.php/Cpufreqd is the closest thing you are likely to find to a general rule based frequency controller that can take into account lots of data.

At some point you are using more battery computing what frequency to be at than you would be if you didn't. This was true of some of the early attempts at process schedulers. They took so much time deciding what process would be ideal to run next, they never got any useful work done. Another simple thing you can do is select the "powersave" governor which will always run your CPU at its minimum possible frequency.
