Hi,

Since I replaced PcManFm with Thunar I can't put icons applications on
the desktop anymore.
I still have the "Add to the desktop" option in the right click menu but it
doesn't work.
I also have a Desktop folder with some icons/shortcut inside but it's
impossible to put them on the desktop.

Could someone help me ?

Hi dudd67!

You can't put icons on your desktop because Thunar don't provide a desktop manager like Nautilus and Pcmanfm.
If you want to use Thunar, but want icons on your desktop, you have to install Xfdesktop from xfce4 package, or you can use Idesk or Rox.

Or, another way of looking at it is, anything in ~/Desktop is on the desktop, it just isn't being displayed. You need something running that will do that.
