Hibernation doesn't work.

Post by Chriswaterguy »

Hibernation doesn't work on my ThinkPad R60 with Mandriva 2009.0 (GNOME plus LXDE). When I restart after pressing "Hibernate", it boots up.

Did you try the suspend-to-disk programs manually; did you try other environments? You need enough swap space IIRC to store the RAM image in.

This problem is not related to lxde. This may be due to acpi or hal. check your policy kit and do the necessary correction. Note: If you are using Arch Linux there is good posting about hibernation and other problems and solution. I would like the members to post their OS because different system uses different way of dealing a particular issue.
