Re: My LXDE Desktop
Hi all,
I'm here just to report my own experience using LXDE .
I made a very old machine return to life, it is my 10-year old Pentium III 500 MHz, 128 MB RAM, 40GB HD. The only hardware I added is a 10/100 ethernet internal card (which I payed 9 euros eh eh). It didn't support Windows XP (lack of RAM), it used only Windows 98.
So I got working it using O.S. Linux Debian Lenny with LXDE and it is really FAST, even with all these programs opened:
-IceWeasel (browser web)
-Gnome Terminal (gnome terminal emulator)
-PcManFm (file manager)
-Gimp (Photoshop)
-Conky (system monitor)
-Capture screen
I'm posting a picture of it, as I already opened this thread on the italian ubuntu forum!
