Hi,

is there documentation for the use of lxterminal any where yet?

The http://wiki.lxde.org/en/LXTerminal and man pages are somewhat limited in information.

I'm asking as I wish to add a wiki page on to the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ structure, as part of the lubuntu project.

Regards,

Phill.

What features in LXTerminal do you find so unapproachable that you feel need additional documentation? We should be working on the UI to solve those cases.

Things like the support of coloured text, which is there but un-documented :?:

Speaking as the person who does most of the maintenance work on LXTerminal, I am not aware of any such feature beyond foreground/background color customization.

There are not supposed to be any undocumented features. It is possible that a distro has slapped a patch onto LXTerminal that adds something that is half finished; for example only accessible by editing the configuration file without any UI to get to it.

Can you please say a little more along the lines of "if I do this, it causes this" to help me understand what you are talking about, and also what distro/version and LXTerminal/version you are reporting about.

Hi,

it is the setting of foreground / background colours I'm after doing, I'm okay with white text on black background, but was asked in the #lubuntu IRC about how to set it a little while ago.

Thanks,

Phill.

I don't know how much more obvious Edit / Preferences / Foreground and Background with color buttons next to them could be.
Maybe I should change "Foreground" to "Text" the next time we unfreeze the translations.

Good luck to you in your efforts.

Ahh, that'll be it, then. We were looking for a cli command  This should be a real small wiki page

Thanks,
