For some reason, most components ask me to --enable-man in ./configure.

Well, I did that, and it still asks me to do this. Is there a dependency I forgot to install? Is it docbook? I'm on an LFS distro, so it would be nice if you could give me a tarball URL or something.

You should only need to do that if you are building from git. The tarballs have the man pages already in them, or at least they are supposed to. Specifically what packages are failing?
