Indivisual icon for folder or file

Hi! Is there any way to assing or stablish an icon to a particular folder or individual file?
I think that this is the only way to differ quicly a file when you have a collection of similar files in a folder. Or organize folders by topics (music, vídeo, documents...), for example.
