How to add to the panel apllet 'Netspeed'?

This is the apllet --> http://projects.gnome.org/netspeed//

There is not a way to add Gnome panel applets to an LXPanel. We have no interest in implementing that due to the support implications.

Your point about having a way to graphically display network traffic is well taken and this is under consideration as an extension to the CPU usage plugin.
