Hello@ALL,
System: Thinkpad R50p,Ubuntu-LXDE-10.04 Light-setup
i look for settings to solve that if a user press logout at the Menupanel
to get the Shutdown Dialog Panel the X-server makes a grey Screen for 1-2 Seconds?
Question is this a Problem with LXDE or Xserver on my older Thinkpad ATI-Chipset Radeon 128MB (R50p)
seems like a "Pause"
Thanks Tom

It's just slow on your video card. Live with it or run something else.
Re: LXDE Logout shows grey full Screen for 1-2 seconds
Can't believe this now i tested other Thinkpads
IBM R50p with VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M10 NT [FireGL Mobility T2] (rev 80) 128MB and Read-3D show this bug
(ubuntu 10.04 kernel 2.6.32-24-generic , radeon module)
a slower
IBM R40 with radeon 7500 16MB RAM (slower graphic card ) does NOT show the grey Screen..
(Debian Squeeze 2.6.32-5-686, radeon module)
can't be that a better Graphic chip works slower as a 16MB Office Chip, all radeon..
there must be a bug..
tomorrow i test with squeeze on R50p
Solved! Problem was a default xorg.conf setting, the Graphic Power+Ram wasn't recognized
correctly, go to my Blog www.linuxonlinehelp.de to read the Howto..
