Hi to everybody,

I installed the netinstall of ubuntu 10.04 by cli. After that I added lxde by ubuntu repo.
Everything works correctly, but I don't understand why in the voice "other" of the menù there are strange programs. I think that they are terminal commands, ho can I remove from the menù?

You probably have a whole lot of trash left over from when you had Gnome. See here for discussion of how the menu works http://forum.lxde.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1764 and when you find the .desktop entries that are going into the Other menu, you can delete them.

If you could post what you find, it would help others in this situation. My guess is that OnlyShowIn and NotShowIn are also affecting visibility of the problem entries.

Ok, I solved but not in a good way...

I edited the file: /etc/xdg/menus/lxde-applications.menu

and I wasn't able to hidden the "other" voice, so I deleted that part...

Ps: I hadn't gnome, I just installed the kernel of 10.04 and added lxde, and I repeated the work twice...I think that lxpanel still doesn't work correctly.
