OK I have figured out the menu system and how to put icons on the desktop. Now for my questions:

1) How do I get rid of the My Documents folder on the desktop.

2) What files are used to add/remove apps from the task bar?
Like if I want to remove the system monitor or remove the web broswer link etc.....
I need to know the files becuase this will be used on a live cd so, I need to know what files to edit or remove or whatever.

3) Is there a way to add a shutdown and restart option to the task bar instead of just having a logout option?

4) What is a good lightweight Web Browser that works well in LXDE?

1. That is drawn by pcmanfm. As far as I know for a long time there was no way to remove the My Documents folder. I do not run pcmanfm and I do not know if this has been fixed. I am confident someone will jump in on this.

2. The panel configuration is in /usr/share/lxpanel/profile/<name>/panels systemwide and ~/.config/lxpanel/<name>/panels per-user, where <name> is the value of --profile. This gets rewritten when you run the Panel Preferences dialogs and you need only get it set the way you want it and capture that on the CD. Typically a distro will do this and ship the systemwide and --profile set so the user will get their desired experience when they first run the panel.

3. You could add a launcher that runs "init 0" and "init 6". You do not need a .desktop entry for this. There is an undocumented, and accessible from the GUI only in an unreleased version, way of specifyng a launcher using the Command, Image, Tooltip properties rather than the ID property, in the launchbar button properties. These give the equivalent of Exec, Icon, Comment.

4. That's your decision. To some extent good and lightweight play against one another. You might want to see if you find Midori suitable although it does not have the maturity that some that have been around longer have.
