lxterminal is pretty simple and i like it. however sometimes i like gnome-terminal for example because it has smaller tab bar
lxterminal uses 16mb and gnome-terminal 18mb.
is there any other penalty besides 2 mb of ram?
any other good lightweight terminals that use same libs as lxde?

lxterminal vs gnome-terminal
Re: lxterminal vs gnome-terminal
You can go to Edit -> Preferences -> Display and tick the "Hide close buttons" option. It makes the tabs (slightly) smaller. You can close a tab by middle-clicking on a tab or by pressing the 'ctrl + shift + w' combination.
You might also want to tick the "hide menu bar" option, since it is rarely used, and can be replicated by right-clicking anywhere in the terminal body itself.
