Move window frame only

Hello all, I am using LXDE from a low bandwidth VNC session. Moving windows around the desktop with contents is slow and choppy. Is there a way to set LXDE such that only the window frame moves and the contents are refreshed at the end of the move?

Hi,
just install obconf, there you'll find the needed option.

I do have obconf installed. It has a tab called "Move and Resize" which has a check box for "Update the window contents when resizing". This does not apply to moving a window which is slow and choppy with a VNC connection (even with the VNC client set to 256 colors and low bandwidth connection). The computers are good but the connection is slow.

Just the same, the logic to do whatever happens during a window drag is in the window manager. We do not supply, maintain, or influence the development of Openbox. If there is something that needs adjusting, you would need to make the Openbox project aware of it.

OK. I will check with OpenBox.
UPDATE: Per the OpenBox mailing list "move window frame only" / "do not redraw contents on move" is not a feature of OpenBox at this time.
