It's hard to replace the window bar decoration - is it choosable from Openbox or Lxappearance?

If I got what you are asking for, you need to install obconf. That application will handle the window decoration settings.

thank you! My idea is obconf should be an important dependence for lxde, like should happen on Ubuntu - when you install lxde, obconf should be installed as well

Hello nitrofurano,
lxde does not depends on openbox. you can replace openbox with any other WM.
from wiki
Unlike in other desktop environments, the components of LXDE are not tightly integrated.[6] Instead, they can run independently of each other.[7]
