First of all i want to apologize for my spelling.
I did a small PyGTK program to appear in the startup screen.
Startup screen can be any image.

Instruction:
Unpack the archive and go to program directory in terminal and type (as root) command: After that, you can go to menu > Preferences > LXWelcome Settings
Are required: python-gtk2, python-glade2, zenity

I personnaly need no welcome screen...
After pressing return to login with slim i only need 5s to have my de fully running!

Yes, so default settings of this screen is 5 seconds
