Hi all,
I'm new here.
I like very much Lxde. Fast and easy!
I bought a tablet from china. A guy build a linux distro with LXDE.
I'd like install on this tablet QtEmbedded but there are some problems with the shared memory inside the kernel. Closed source kernel.
So I've to use a X11 Qt version.
I've to run only my Qt application and no more software.
In order to speed up the boot of my application I'd like to remove all the components of LXDE on this tablet and run only my application when I switch on the device.
Is possible to have a minimal LXDE with only X server?
Have you any clue?
Thank you in advance!

A very minimal LXDE
Re: A very minimal LXDE
Hi,
you would need at least GTK for LXDE applications. Please provide more information about your device, Name, version of installed applications, ect. I ain't personally own a tablet, but for the ones who do, this informations might be useful

Might be possible. There's a Debian/LXDE image out there for the eken001 and similar tablets (I run it on a flytouch clone) that runs off the SD card. It's slower than the Android 1.6 build that came with the tablet, but I believe the necessary kernel modules are all open source and available. Haven't tried installing any Qt apps, but it should be possible.
