Unicode 16

Hi All,
I love Leafpad's ability to save test files in CR+LF format. I use Leafpad a lot to edit files for my Windows users. I would like to request to following enhancement:
Please support Unicode 16 file format. When I export text files from Windows 7 Regedit.exe and open them in Leafpad, Leafpad only shows 'ÿþK". This is the Unicode 16 messing with Leafpad.
