Dear LXDE Team,
In GNOME we have a weather display right? Do we have any equivalent weather gadget in LXDE?

I wish we had one just like in gnome where we get to set the preferences but it would be cool if it could detect the preferences base on the information we supplied during installation such as location, time, etc.

You can install Screenlets, don't use the Trash one though it will open up your browser window (needs work)
Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:screenlets/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install screenlets
Then pick the ClearWeather one, and make sure on the lower left you
FIRST check the box that says [Auto Start on Login]
Then put a check in the [Start/Stop] box

My solution was more than perfect:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... x-weather/
Because:
1. ever have FireFox opened
2. this addon has all!! customizable, full of data, nice, etc...
I recommend it.

The firefox weather addon mentioned above is excellent. You can also add a nice weather script to the openbox menu. See
http://lxlinux.com/openbox.html#2 for details.

+1 seppalta. I have been using it since you made me aware of it. I haven't seen any other that has the available data that it has. You got good stuff. Don't stay away for so long. We need your lxde knowledge.
