Hi,
sorry for double posting (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1852103)

Hi,
i bought Sony Ericsson MBS-100 Bluetooth Speaker for my desktop computer. I paired it with bluetooth manager and blueman-both showing connection, but no sound is coming from device. This audio box should work under ubuntu, but does anyone knows how to make it work in Lubuntu?

So, i tried to install pulseaudio and pavucontrol, but nothing. Just for a second, at bluetooth connecting i hear some cracking from box, but no sound. Any easy way to make this box work?

What is/are the application(s) are you using with Ubuntu? have you tried to install the same in Lubuntu?

Any easy way to make this box work?

I'm not an expert on this and I hope someone else could jump in and help but usually if it works under Ubuntu, there is a chance it will work under Lubuntu.

thanks for advice. I have Ubuntu on my Macbook and i compared installed programs-so i installed all programs (bluetooth) missing in Lubuntu. After that the box is working, but it is not smooth as in Ubuntu (have to connect-disconnect several times to make it work nice . But it is working.
I think that

was the trigger to this issue. After i installed it i could use the box.

Well, unfortunately, i have no luck with this speaker. If i connect it to ubuntu 11.04 on MacBook Pro speaker is working perfectly.
But with Lubuntu on shuttle xs35gtv2 the sound comes put in waves and interrupted. So i tested live ubuntu 11.04 and have the same issue. So, it could be some hardware issue? I have usb bluetooth dongle. No idea what to do...

Perhaps you'll find a similar scenario?!

If it's a hardware issue, then that explains why it worked on your MacBook and didn't work on your other machine. That if it's a hardware case.
Maybe it's a driver issue? I'm just trying to think about all the possible alternatives.

Nvidia Driver? it has nothing to do with your speaker

Well, i know-but that is the difference between mac and shuttle-no idea what next to try....
