What does PCManFM need for network/mountables

Hi,
Can anyone tell me which daemons need to be running so that PCManFM will see network shares and be able to mount removable media outside of lxde please?
I'm using fluxbox but the functionality is limited outside of lxde/xfce. I have gvfs installed but I think some other things need to be running.
