volume control applet

Lubuntu 11.04, sound card soundblaster Audigy 2
I've problem with sound - i still heard noise in my headphone.
When I mute front chanel in alsamixer - it stop until I use volume control aplet. So I removed this applet from panel.
And other sound question : Audiacious - still hear ... some like... beep, beep, beep
