Dear All,

is there a way to save work sessions in Lubuntu? I was using Ubuntu a long time ago when I could save my work sessions so that all windows that were open appeared again after turning off/turning on the computer. That feature is discontinued with unity interface in Ubuntu but is it there in Lubuntu? How can I make it work (dont tell me to use hibernate or sort of...)?

Thanks in advance!

Hello and Welcome to LXDE Forum :)

I'm not going to suggest Hibernate even though it's the first idea that came to my mind from what I understood from your post but ... I'll ask you to explain more about that, could you?

Is that feature available on Ubuntu 10.04? I have it installed on this machine but I need more details.

Thank you :)

P.S.
As far as I know, Hibernate does what you want but I'm not sure what you really want.

I also am looking for this in LXDE.. in Xfce4 no probs... its the session manager that can or can't save your workspaces with what app's are opened and positioned on them -it's nice for a music player to be on soon as you boot ie audacious.
pretty sure xfce4-session can do it in LXDE
