Compiling LXDE from source on old Linux .. (SLES 10 !)

Post by devs »

Hi,

I'm trying to get LXDE working on SLES 10 sp4!. Its old but its something which is still in use. I've managed to compile most of the packages, but, I'm not satisfied with the way LXDE works on SLES 10 sp4. First of all, I had to set MALLOC_CHECK_=0 to even get openbox to start! There are other issues with pcmanfm seg faulting etc.

I was wondering if anyone has ever got LXDE to successfully work on SLES 10 ? I guess there are no pre compiled binaries, but is this even possible ?

Thanks!
