Power magnament

First, sorry for my english, it's very bad 
(I'm Spanish).
How to manage the laptop energy settings? Xscreensaver work very bad, gnome/xfce4-power-magnament simply not working...
I need to configure the actions of power button, close laptop's screen, etc. And the actions on low battery.
I running debian squeeze with lxde (the newest from backports) and gnome2 installed.
Anybody can help me?
