lxpanel "Task Bar" item issue

I've recently reinstalled the LXDE spin of Fedora 17, and am having a rather strange (and new) issue with the Task Bar item on the lxpanel. For some reason or another it seems when I have too many items listed on it, rather than the buttons for each item shrinking to accomodate for the extra items like they normally do, they all stay a set size and simply list themselves along the bar, eventually running behind the other objects that are on the panel after the Task Bar item. To illustrate, here's a screenshot (click to enlarge);

The only modifications I've made to the lxpanel have been to the background image used for it, as well as the order the items come in. In case it's relevant here's the list of items I have on the panel;

Anyone have any idea why it's deciding to do this now, and what I might do to fix it? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Don't think this is normal. Reinstall just lxpanel. Do updates.

Alright, so. Taking your advice I reinstalled lxpanel via su -c 'yum reinstall lxpanel'. After doing so I restarted my computer, only to find it hadn't fixed the issue.

Next, I tried killing the lxpanel process and restarting it manually. I found this set the panel back to default settings until I logged out and back in again, which fixed the issue with the task bar bit. From this I was able to discern that changing the settings back to default manually would fix the issue; it would seem it did in fact have something to do with the way I had my applets arranged on the panel.

In any case thanks for the suggestion, it did help point me in the right direction regardless :)
