How to disable the pcmanfm file manager icon?

I would like to disable/hide the pcmanfm (file manager) icon from the bottom panel instead of removing it.

Why in the world would you like to hide the PCManFM launcher icon? Anyway, I was not aware of any way to hide it without removing it so I did a Googlubnutu search which resulted in nothing that would help you.
If it is possible, I am sure that someone smarter than I am will chime in and relate just how to do it. Have patience, the folks on this forum, as others, are all volunteers and generally have jobs to go to so they can put food on the table
