Hi I'm using lxpanel without other lxde components.
Could someone help me - my icopns in the lxpanel main menu are missing...
Is this because of missing lxde components or config files?

What operating system are you running? Is it correct to say that you only have the lxpanel installed and nothing else from lxde?

The main menu just reflects the .desktop file of an application. Most .desktop files are in /usr/share/applications or /usr/local/share/applications. Each .desktop file has an entry:
.
If an entry in the main menu does not show an icon, then you need to edit this icon line in its .desktop file so that it actually points to the icon (of your choice).
Code: Select all
Icon=/usr/share/icons/xxxxxx.png

Thanks for the replies. I'm running archlinux and only have the dependancies of lxpanel installed.
libwnck-2.30.7-1 libxres-1.0.6-1 lxpanel-0.5.10-1
plus lxmenu-data
I think my desktop fise are ok, I managed to get the icons working under xfce panel for example.
