OK. Move the little dot all of the way to the left and the word never will appear. That is how I do it. By the way I also use an ASUS (an old EeePC 1000h).

Hey, I am not going to tell you how long it took me to find that. Glad to be of assistance. Stick around the forums and perhaps you can help someone with your knowledge. Enjoy lxde.

Ah i see, so i was not alone
Check this
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2080229 same question asked.
Actually i came from Gnome2 then Gnome3 and lastly found LXDE the thing i need, simple and fast.
My next question about LXDE is coming soon, again not so obvious way to solve.

I have installed Ubuntu Tweak on a Lubuntu system and there doesn't seem to be any problem. However, I really do not use it that much. The stuff that you may want to use Tweak to accomplish can just as easily be done on the terminal. If you are like me you might have to do a little research to find the correct commands. I have found (and used) a web site created and maintained by seppalta (also a mod on this forum).

It answers alot of questions.
Did I read that post on the Ubuntu Forums correctly, you have 8GB of RAM? With that much RAM I wouldn't believe that you need any Swap. I could not envision a situation where you would exceed that much.

Yep, i got 8 Gb ram and SSD on my laptop. I know that swap not needed here, i added it because planned to use hibernate, but then found this future not usefull for me as suspend more convinient for me and not using swap.
Thanks for page, saw it before already. I want to ask you one thing - Did ubuntu tweak install compiz for you as dependency ? Actually don't gonna use compiz as it breaks LXDE simplicity and speed.
