How do I prevent LXLauncher from running every time i log in? I do not like it, and prefer a standard desktop. I would like to know a way to get rid of it permanently.

You said it - uninstall lxlauncher using Synaptic or apt-get:

sudo apt-get remove lxlauncher

If you miss it later, re-install.

Less radical: check /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart. If lxlauncher is listed there, then erasing it (as root) should keep it from popping up at the start.
