Hello everybody!
LXDE is getting better and better!
right now i'm using AVLinux which uses a mix of lxde session, lxpanel, nautilus...

i managed to install lxappearance 0.5.2 on this debian stable based install.
it was working nicely for months but yesterday the icon preview went way too small and i don't know how to change it back.
see the screenshot.

i had a look at ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/desktop.conf and ~/.gtkrc-2.0 but see nothing that would point to icon sizes.

what to do? any help appreciated & thanks in advance!

Are you concerned about the icon preview size? When you choose which theme you want are the icons the way you want them?

yes they are. it's only about lxappearance.

edit: or to be more precise: within lxappearance, the icon theme preview is always too small (16px?), whether i "apply" or not. otherwise (outside lxappearance) everything works normally.
what confuses me is that this behavior just started at some point and now it won't go away anymore.

partial solution:

open <installprefix>/share/lxappearance/ui/lxappearance.ui with text editor,

edit property "stock-size" (or stock_size) to a higher value.
(it's just under GtkCellRendererPixbuf, line 1124 in mine)

it was 6, everything higher than 6 gives me slightly bigger icons (from 16px to 24px?), but i can't increase beyond that.
i also tried 0 and -1 and 999999.

but i found a list of the icons displayed and expanded it a little
the list is at the very beginning of the .ui file.
