Hello,
is there some Howto for beginners?
I just installed LXDE on FreeBSD, but there is nothing preconfigured. When I log in with lxsession, I only get a toolbar. How can I get a nice background, nice icons on my desktop, and so on?
Please can someone point me to some documentation?

Desktop handling is part of pcmanfm by default.
You can look in his preferences.

And a look in the wiki http://wiki.lxde.org/en/Main_Page might provide some general overview.
