Lubuntu 14.04.1 with LXPanel 0.7.0

right-click on pnael, panel setting -> advance -> Automatic hiding, size 0 pixel (if it is not 0, works fine). Then if there is no program running, push the mouse to the bottom of screen, the panel is not show, and would not show up.

one way to show panel is to run some application, for example, right-click on desktop, and select desktop settings, or double click launch shortcut (if any) on desktop to run applications. If there is one or more application is running, push the mouse to the screen bottom, the panel will show. otherwise, the panel keeps hiding.

Do you have a problem or a question? I do not believe that the auto hide function works with a 0 value as you have found out.
