I've been messing around with lxpanel, settings, upgrading. Somehow I messed up a setting that extends windows behind the panel rather than to the edge of it. So, for example, I cannot see Firefox's task bar. I'm not sure if it is an LXPanel / LXDE or OpenBox issue. I haven't been able to find any settings to correct it.
My system is FreeBSD 10.0 amd64 with LXPanel 0.7.1.
LXPanel on top of windows
Re: LXPanel on top of windows
Right click on the panel, then panel settings>Advanced and untick the two boxes in Properties. This will put the panel underneath open windows.

Re: LXPanel on top of windows
I downgraded to LXPanel 0.6.2. Fixed the problem.
