Hi, I've installed lubuntu 14 on an old machine, and it works great, but I have one annoying issue: When I click an icon, I have no way to know that the process is working and the program is actually opening... no "clock" or "waiting" or whatever in the cursor, the icon doesn't "blink" or something... so I click the Firefox icon... and wait... nothing happens... click again... then I have one window of Firefox... then another comes up, I have to close one... is annoying!!

Can I do something to fix this? In the cursor theme configuration it shows a "clock" cursor, but I never view it...

it is up to the application to use the "startup notification".
strange, i thought this was implemented in lxde/lubuntu, and at least the "big" browsers should use it.

a workaround is to have a system monitor like conky on your desktop, which will show you which processes are currently taking most resources (firefox usually jumps to over 50% for a few seconds, so it should show up).
