Hello
I am using lxde as a file box, I need to keep it active so it does not power down, I've turned off the screen saver and set the light locker settings; to never blank screen and never switch off display. however I am still after 10mins getting the mouse cursor turning to X and any open wndows cascading.

What can i do?

Welcome to the forum plainwrapp. That is kind of weird. Have you tried to use the xfce power manager to set your preferences? That is where I set mine and do not have a problem when I set it to never turn off the monitor.
