Simple Scanner unable to send via default e-mail application

Hi friends,
Using Ubuntu 14.04 and LXDE as Desktop Manager,
I found it impossible to send the scanned document as email client (for example Thunderbird) from the useful function: file->E-mail.
I've try from another Desktop Manager and all works fine.
I checked in LXDE preferences and Thunderbird seem correctly set as default email application.
Anyone have found a similar situation and its solution?
