*** Want Some LXDE Wallpaper for Your Distro? Give Me Some Feedback, and I'll Do It! ***

More from the 'Elegant Series,' made on ImageMagick. A simple, soothing theme series that's easy on the eyes.
Good for those with light sensitive eyes like me. The resolution for these is the requested 1920x1080.

Please try one of the 8 desktop backgrounds: Steel, Coral, Blood, Black, Emerald, Grape, Teal, or Copper;
and if I can be of any further help with light sensitive eye issues, please let me know.

To help me with my light sensitivity issues,I have themed my LXDE boxes (see the 2 screenshot samples below) to resemble a dark 'Cupertino' look & feel. 'BlackMATE' is the GTK theme and I am using the 'Plank' dock on auto-hide, with mostly 'Gnome-Noble' icons. Finally, my panel of choice has always been 'LxpanelX, the alternative panel for our distro; they say it is not as stable but for me it is. 'LxpanelX' has way more features and functionality, for me, i.e., a 'Recent Documents' area, and I can even name my menu with the OS name (I built mine from scratch, so my ego calls it 'OfficeLIGHT'). 'LxpanelX' is also set on auto-hide; and everything but my cursor ('Aqua-DMZ,' from: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ ... ent=157980) came from official OpenSuSE repos).

Enjoy! :D

Cool!
Could you make them Full HD (1920x1080) too? Would be nice!

Hi, Mayrinck, thanks!

You know, the frustrating thing is... before these lower-resolution versions were uploaded,I actually spent several minutes trying to post my original 1920x1080 versions - and our LXDE site kept telling me that the file was too large - so I posted the highest resolution the site would accept. Please help me know how I can post those Full HDs up here.

Link the images from the website using the {img} tag or just put the links on the topics :)

Hi Mayrinck,

I did as you suggested; and all seems to be fine now, with the 1920x1080 posts. Thanks, again! 8-)

Hi rtl88. I would like to include your 4 wallpapers in the `lxde-wallpapers` package for the Manjaro LXDE Community Edition. Is this ok with you?

If that's ok with you, I'm thinking of adding this line:
rtl88 wrote:LXDE Desktop Wallpapers: Steel, Grape, Teal, and Copper by Randall T. Lewis is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
at README.md of the github page where I upload the wallpapers (https://github.com/ThanosApostolou/lxde-wallpapers) together with a link to this post in order to give you the credits. However, for convenience purposes, the README.md isn't included in the package (it just gets deleted and the images are copied at /usr/share/backgrounds in order to make the PKGBUILD simple). If you have any objections then tell me.

The names of the backgrounds will be:
  • lxde-sensitive-copper.jpg
    lxde-sensitive-grape.jpg
    lxde-sensitive-steel.jpg
    lxde-sensitive-teal.jpg
If you have any better idea than the "sensitive" word in the name then please tell me.

Hi Thanos,

That's great; everything sounds perfect! I have some other unfinished, LXDE art I'm dabbling with; so I'll throw some up here when I get to that point. I can email you the same - if you want - in case it was something useful to the Manjaro LXDE Community Edition.

On the topic of Light Sensitivity, this is a big issue for those who have it; but these backgrounds could simply be branded as "Soothing colors that are easy on your eyes," I'm thinking. Or, alternatively, you could just describe them as you see fit. ;)

Anyway, thank you for the opportunity to participate in an exiting and worthy project,

Take Care!

Based on better marketability (your response got me thinking), I changed the 'Sensitive' concept to 'Elegant'
'Elegant Series' Desktop Backgrounds (note the title change at top).

This "Elegant" theme name will also reflect the next few background concepts I have in the works. 8-)
