Download dir selection?

Is it possible to change the directory into which download loads files? If so, how?
Yes.
Since I use Firefox, I will give you instructions for it but I would surmise that they would be similar for any browser. On any browser page, select Edit->Preferences->General. That is where you change your preferences under Downloads.
