Re: request gpicview crop feature
Hi galen and welcome to the LXDE forums. The forums are not normally read by developers or maintainers so that is why we have placed this viewtopic.php?f=7&t=575
at the beginning of each section. If you look at the second post you will be able to find the URLs for bug reports and future requests for PCManFM and other parts of LXDE. Us folks on the forums are just volunteers who man the forums and try to keep some semblance of order. We have no special communication with the developers other than the same sites that are in the posting that I just gave you. Recommend that you file a report for a future request if you want to follow this up.

Gpicview is just an image viewer, always has been and probably always will be. Beats me why it is included in so many distros by default. There are numerous other lightweight image viewers available which offer simple editing tools like cropping. My favorite is Mirage:
http://mirageiv.sourceforge.net/
Mirage offers cropping, resizing, rotating, slide-show tool, renaming, deleting and a saturation adjustment tool, besides a super viewing mode.

viewnior has a crop feature and is almost as lightweight as gpicview.
