when i log on it says i have xx updates available then i download , restart and says same thing.

is there anyway to fix this?

i'm not sure, i don't curerently use an update manager, but my guess is that it is only telling you, but won't install anything by default.
so, you have to click on the icon and do the update/upgrade.

no im doing the updates

everytime i turn on it gives adifferent number...just rebooted and now its saying 84 updates.

lxde sucks its a totall waste of time.
