Hi, is this possible? Tried messing around here with no luck
.config/lxpanel/Lubuntu/panels
themes/Lubuntu-default/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

Thanks
Change active window color in taskbar
Re: Change active window color in taskbar
I second the request. If I have multiple similar windows going, it can be very hard to know which one I am looking at. If I click a given button on the LXDE "Task Bar (Window List)" panel applet, I don't always know if it's hiding the window or showing it. If I click 2-3 times on a given button, I can watch for the square brackets to appear in the button's text, then click one more time and watch for the square brackets to disappear, and then know I am in that window. But that is not very user friendly.
Anyway, the lack of square brackets doesn't indicate if the window is hidden or not, it just indicates that the panel applet has not recently minimized the window.
If the actual current TOP window could be made a different color or otherwise differentiated in the button on the LXDE "Task Bar (Window List)" panel applet, that would be awesome.
Perhaps that is not possible given how the window manager works. If so, then the next best option would be an option to DISABLE the task bar panel applet from ever minimizing or hiding that window. So clicking a button would ONLY SHOW that window, never hide or toggle it.
Thanks. I love LXDE aside from this issue.

Re: Change active window color in taskbar
It sounds like you do all your stuff on one virtual desktop only.
I heartily recommend a change of usage habits:
You can have multiple rows & columns of virtual desktops. I recommend to change them often (usually with Ctrl-Alt-ArrowKeys), have only one or two windows per desktop.
Some people like to dedicate each virtual desktop to a specific task, like email, web browser, development etc.
also use the Alt-Tab shortcut for switching windows.

+1 drooly. I have been using multiple work spaces (virtual desktops) for years. Works great for me.
